The Armenian Genocide also known as the Armenian Holocaust, Great Calamity or the Armenian Massacre was the forcible deportation and massacring of hundreds of thousands to over 1.5 million Armenians during the government of the Young Turks from 1915 to 1917 in the Ottoman Empire. It is widely acknowledged to have been one of the first modern, systematic genocides,as many Western sources point to the sheer scale of the death toll as evidence for a systematic, organized plan to eliminate the Armenians. The event is also said to be the second-most studied case of genocide. To date twenty-one countries have officially recognized it as genocide. The government of the Republic of Turkey rejects the characterization of the events as genocide.

    Rita, if you have the Armenian blood running through your body you wouldn't say what you have said here!!!!! what hatred against Muslims you are talking about????? The killing of the Armenians is a fact... A historic fact and nobody can deny it... Turkey is denying it because if they admit they will have to pay billions of dollars as compansation to the victims... The muslims are spreading the hatred against us and every none muslim... Islam can't survive without the killing of others....

    stop trying to exploit our people to spread your anti muslim hate. if not for the syrian muslims and other arab muslims, the armenians would not have survived. the arabs opened their countries to us and helped us. what did the west do?

    It has been justly called genocide. people exterminated for holding a different belief. Bloodshed in the past and in the time to come ,all because the rejection of the shed blood of the lamb of God.
